Amir Khalighi

Amir holds a Ph.D. and a M.S.E in mechanical engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.S in mechanical engineering from the Sharif University of Technology in Iran.

Prior to Enthought, Amir spent five and a half years at the Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences (now renamed the Oden Institute) at University of Texas at Austin developing image-based Finite Element models for virtual heart valve surgery simulations. Amir’s work introduced a new paradigm for building high-fidelity computational models of biological tissues in clinical settings.

In his free time, Amir enjoys cooking, hiking, and reading about history, psychology, and philosophy.
