Mehran Mehrabi

テキサス大学オースティン校にて貯留層工学の博士号、オクラホマ州タルサ大学にて石油工学の修士号、イランの石油工業大学にて掘削工学の学士号を取得。

多孔質媒体および坑井内の多相流シミュレーション、ならびに大偏距井におけるドリルストリングの力学・動力学を扱う計算コードの開発を専門としてきました。

エンソート入社以前は、テキサス大学オースティン校で博士研究員として、偏微分方程式の解法へのニューラルネットワーク応用を研究しました。また、Kinder Morgan、BHP、Bureau of Economic Geologyでインターンとして各種シミュレーションモデルの開発に携わりました。

現在は自然言語処理を用いた情報検索システムの開発に関心を寄せています。

ハイキング、ウェイトトレーニング、料理、そして歴史や哲学の読書を楽しんでいます。

 

Mehran has a Ph.D. in the field of reservoir engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.Sc. in petroleum engineering from The University of Tulsa, OK, and a B.Sc. in drilling engineering from the Petroleum University of Technology in Iran. His background is in development of computational codes for simulation of multi-phase flow in porous media and wellbore, and drillstring mechanics/dynamics in extended-reach wells.

Prior to Enthought, Mehran was a postdoctoral research fellow at UT Austin with focus on application of neural networks in solving partial differential equations. He also interned with Kinder Morgan, BHP, and the Bureau of Economic Geology where he developed various simulation models.

Mehran is currently interested in development of information retrieval systems using natural language processing techniques. In addition to this, he enjoys hiking, lifting weights, cooking, and reading about history and philosophy.
